About the Author

I'm Kelsey. I am a transplant to Salt Lake City from nor-Cal by way of L.A. I was adopted at six months old from South Korea and grew up in a Cuban and Caucasian family. I gave my life to Jesus in 2003 and he has been my rock ever since.

After graduating from UCLA with a degree in communication studies, I worked a stint at the Los Angeles Times as a web producer. I now raise our three children full-time and help my husband run an animation & VFX studio. My newest role is full-time care partner for my mama with Alzheimer's.

About the Blog

I have been writing since I could. I still have journals and drafts of novels from when I was in grade school. I still love to journal but have also written professionally and personally about food, travel, and the outdoors. I started publishing my writings to advocate for mental wellness and raise awareness of adoption and foster care. As a parent and an adoptee myself, I share my perspective and experiences in hopes that others are encouraged to boldly love and care for vulnerable children.

Thank you for following along.

Feel free to send me questions (with your permission I may answer them on the blog so everyone can learn). I also love hearing comments and your own life stories.
